The time has come to change the paradigm of running a business in a society that is collapsing under the weight of greed and exploitation. Strategist Cesar Torres now offers FREE office hours for small business owners who happen to be BIPOC/Queer. 

Why Free?

I have achieved an amazing career in my lifetime, building a stack of skill sets in executive leadership, entrepreneurship, scaling startups, UX, tech, content strategy and product strategy. I have reached great heights, and have helped scale startups like Ars Technica, Wirecutter and LED Queens. But I have also seen the glass ceilings and limitations that small business owners who are BIPOC/Queer will face when they attempt to scale, increase reach and achieve growth. The systems of capitalism and white supremacy do not offer enough space for our types of small business to flourish. If they do, they usually require us to compromise our integrity, and the integrity and safety of our communities. By offering my consulting for free, I am working against the grain of those systems. White supremacy, colonialism and capitalism stay in place because of hoarding of resources. So my answer is simple: I give away the best of my thought leadership and talent as a strategist for free to fellow small businesses. The end results are alliances of small BIPOC/Queer businesses who center people instead of profits yet still achieve growth.

How the Office Hours Work

I host office hours for 90 minutes on Wednesdays from 10 AM to 11:30 AM CT. I prefer to meet in person, but remote/video meetings are fine. They are office hours, so it's first come, first serve. During these office hours I will offer you the following for free:

  • Your small business and its performance and business model
  • Best practices from the industry
  • Support for leadership and organizational roadmaps that may be limiting your business
  • Evaluation of your web site, e-com offerings, user experience (UX) and customer experience (CX)
  • Evaluation of your current messaging, web copy, newsletters and social media messaging
  • Honest advice and directional recommendations on how to improve your CRM
  • Recommendations on morre ethical digital platforms, tools, services, AI tools
  • Creative direction and suggestions on how to improve your brand's visual presentation at budget
  • Methods and frameworks to de-colonize your business, or at least practice harm reduction

What the Office Hours Don't Offer

These office hours are simple conversations. They don't require a contract or payment, and it's a way to build alliances among BIPOC/Queer business owners. I will share with you what has worked for my businesses, and you'll get knowledge and insights from myself as an executive leader, startup founder, and creative. These sessions are not prescriptive. I will simply show you the options you have in front of you. These are options you can implement today without having to pay for more consulting.
