This is How I will Remember Hulk Hogan and Joey Swoll

Hulk Hogan, who died on July 24, was a well-documented racist, anti-union, anti-Black, homophobic human. That's exactly how I will remember him.
The influencer Joey Swoll recently came out in defense of Hogan's racism in a livestream, and he used anti-Black language to do so. Swoll's racism is now also documented and factual.
Both of these cis white men share the same legacy of racial bias, anti-Blackness, and colonialist behaviors and speech. Fans of both continue to cry out in Stockholm-syndrome-fueled rage to defend them, but they cannot erase the racist legacies of either of these two public figures.
We all have to hold ourselves accountable. And that means every single one of us. Every human is capable of bias, but it's only in accountability where reparations can begin. Hogan and Swoll refused to be accountable in their own unique and entitled ways. For as many muscles as they have or had on their frames, they lack character in equal measure.
Keep it queer.
